Annotation: This article is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of the work of the Romanian-French thinker through the prism of one of his central categories, a rupture. The study is based on the classification of seven key ruptures proposed by Lauralie Chatelet and examines them as the ontological and structural foundation of Cioran’s poetics. The work consistently explores the rupture with being and the self, the radical break with time, the practice of negation and doubt, the formation of “non-knowledge” as a special form of existential cognition, and the fragmentation of discourse as a direct consequence of the internal division of consciousness. It is demonstrated that Cioran’s fragmentary writing – the aphorism, the fragment of thought – is not simply a stylistic choice, but the only adequate expression of his philosophical position as a “private thinker” (German: Pravatdenker). Paradox, irony, and intertextuality are analysed as tools that enable him to remain on the brink of silence, transforming writing into a form of existential survival. The article concludes that Cioran’s poetics of ruptures is a holistic system in which form and content are inseparable. Moreover, rejection of integrity becomes the condition for the possibility of thought in a situation of a total crisis of meaning, with integrity as a distinctive feature of Cioran’s fragmentation.
Keywords: author deconstruction, textual genesis, style decomposition, discourse fragmentation, intertextuality, polyphony.
