- Annotation: This article addresses a pressing issue: the impact of social deviations on the functioning of the family institution. In today’s world, it is difficult to determine the cause-and-effect relationship between social deviations. However, we believe that both society as a whole and the family in particular bear equal responsibility for social well-being. Modernization processes, despite their importance in terms of social progress, have had a significant impact on people’s consciousness and value systems. Human behavior patterns have undergone changes over time, often with negative connotations. The impact of поdeviations on demographic indicators is particularly noteworthy. Low birth rates and high mortality rates are indicators of unfavorable trends in natural population dynamics, and social deviations play a significant role in this. In this regard, it is important to analyze past experience in developing competent and effective regulation of social deviations, which will allow the development of options for effective programs and projects to combat deviations. The chronological framework of the study is defined by the 1980s and 1990s—a challenging, eventful period when all spheres of public life underwent significant transformations. Based on the principles of historicism and objectivity, this article utilizes general scientific (analysis, synthesis, systems approach) and specific historical (comparative-historical, problem-chronological, statistical) methods to conduct research on this topic.
