- Annotation: A unique photo album presenting the Sreznevsky family in Russia and abroad from the 18th to the 21st centuries has been published. The author is Nina Kolgushkina, Honoured Teacher of the Russian Federation and Director of Academician Izmail Sreznevsky Museum (Yesenin Ryazan State University). Valuable archival photographs and portraits collected by Nina Kolgushkina present the outstanding professor of Slavic studies, ethnographer, and author of the first national dictionary of the Old Russian language, Izmail Sreznevsky, to readers in person; as well as his father, wife, and their descendants for ten generations. Over one hundred photographs, the earliest of which date back to the mid-19th century, are presented. The drawings made by the academician himself, his daughter, the artist I. A. Galaktionov, as well as the captions to the images, tell about the life of the large and friendly family, about their famous friends, about what the children of Izmail Sreznevsky and their descendants dedicated themselves to.
