- Annotation: The article analyses the research works, dated the 1st third of the 20th century, devoted to the genre of wedding speeches. The authors of these works (Dmitry Zelenin, Angelina Moreyeva, Eugenia Blomquist) contributed to the development of such problems as the study of specificity of folklore genre, intertextual connections of folklore texts, folklore and lubok, principles of drafting of indexes of folklore motifs, principles of publishing expeditionary materials, methods of classifying texts of wedding speeches, etc.
