- Annotation: The article is dedicated to the study of phraseological units functioning in their linguistic and transformed forms in the Internet poetry. The choice of the idioms is conditioned by specific content, a form of a poem and their stylistic features – affinity with the colloquial style. In the works of the small forms mostly colloquial phraseology functions as a means to convey an ordinary Russian citizen’s thoughts about the way they perceive the world, in the poetic form. Phraseological transformations in micropoetry are based on the elementary techniques of occasional changes that are common for colloquial speech – expanding and reducing the component composition, substituting components. However, the most widely-spread technique applied in works is double actualisation of a phraseological meaning. Idioms become means of organising the text in which authors create the comic effect through combining the literal and figurative meanings. In this way, an idiom becomes a part of a language game.
