- Annotation: The article attempts to comprehensively study such a socio-economic and political-legal phenomenon as “revolution” and the possibility of the emergence and implementation of radical protest movements of a similar level in the United States and other Western countries in the near future. To do so, a number of works by Western scientists, prominent specialists in this field of knowledge, were used. The features and conditions under which, mass protest actions of the population against the existing political regime are possible in the United States, as well as the means and methods of opposition to them by the authorities, are revealed. It is concluded that at present, in the United States there are a number of features that characterise such a concept as “revolutionary situation”.
