- Annotation: The article examines the topos of Yasnaya Polyana and the estate myth realized by Bulgakov in one of the episodes of the book “Notes on the Cuffs”. The contrast of the chronotopes of Yasnaya Polyana, Vladikavkaz and Moscow is noted. The episode depicting the estate existence becomes the only evidence of care for a person, attention to him, respect for personal space, which are absent in the new reality. It is of great importance in the implementation of many motives of the work: natural and spiritual hunger, poverty, literary work, the need for independent organization of the working day, the value of creativity. The author of the article suggests that the hero’s dream with an illustration of the estate past was intended to serve as a kind of transition to the third part of the book.
